Mt. Crested Butte

The town of Mt. Crested Butte lies three miles up the road from Crested Butte. It’s nestled at the base of Crested Butte Mountain, offering unparalleled access to downhill skiing and a mountain biking park.


Mt. Crested Butte is home to Crested Butte Mountain Resort, owned by Vail and a part of the EPIC Pass. Known for extreme terrain and friendly locals, Crested Butte Mountain also earned the name “High Church of Skiing” from the editor of Powder Magazine. No matter your level of skiing, you will find something on that mountain that will develop your skiing skills and challenge you.


During the summer months, take a scenic chairlift ride or zipline through the trees. If you came to mountain bike, The Crested Butte Mountain Bike Park offers some of the best beginner-friendly downhill mountain bike trails in the state as well as advanced terrain.
